1. Single Purpose & Privacy First Design
PDFCore Studio is built under the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies. The single purpose of PDFCore Studio is to enable users to view, convert, merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, and lock PDF documents locally on their device without relying on internet servers or third-party file uploads.
2. Information Collection and Use
Because PDFCore Studio operates entirely client-side, we adhere to strict data minimization principles:
- Document Files: We do NOT collect, inspect, transmit, or store your uploaded or converted PDF files. Processing occurs transiently in client browser memory and is discarded immediately after export.
- Personal Data: We do NOT collect your name, IP address, browsing history, or personal identity for using free features.
- License Purchase Data: When purchasing Studio Pro Pass ($9.99) or Team Enterprise ($29) on
https://pdfcorestudio.com/checkout.html, order payments are handled securely by PCI-DSS compliant processors (Stripe, PayPal). We store only your email address and generated license key to issue customer receipts and handle support inquiries.
3. Chrome Extension Permissions Justification
PDFCore Studio requests only essential Chrome Extension Manifest V3 permissions:
storage: Used strictly to remember your UI theme preference (dark/light mode), offline license key activation, and local task history inchrome.storage.local.activeTab&scripting: Used exclusively when you click the "Webpage to PDF" tool to render visual webpage elements into vector PDF format.downloads: Used solely to save your final processed PDF file directly into your browser's local downloads folder.
4. Zero Data Selling & Third-Party Disclosure
We state unambiguously: PDFCore Studio does NOT sell, rent, trade, or monetize user data or browsing activity to any third party, advertising network, or data broker. No tracking cookies, telemetry scripts, or analytics trackers are bundled inside the Chrome Extension.
5. Data Retention & Local Storage Controls
All extension settings and offline license activations are stored locally on your machine. You can clear all extension data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing browser storage in Chrome settings.
6. Security Compliance
PDFCore Studio enforces Manifest V3 security standards: zero dynamic code execution (eval is prohibited), zero remote script tag loading, and strict Content Security Policy (CSP) enforcement.
